About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The JOURNAL OF ORTHODOX CANON LAW is an open access, peer-review, annual academic journal edited by The Center for Mission and Nomocanonical Studies of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, Babes-Bolyai University (Cluj-Napoca, Romania). The JOURNAL OF ORTHODOX CANON LAW publishes articles and reviews in the field of Orthodox Canon Law, Ecclesiastical Law, Canonical Tradition, Organization and Structure of the Orthodox Church, Church-State relationship, Canon Law, international inter-orthodox dialogue, ecumenical dialog, and is open to any other contribution which includes a reference to Canon Law.
The structure of the journal is jointed on the studies and articles, books and reviews, grouped by topic. The studies are published in English, German, and French.
The Journal includes articles grouped under four general topics: History and Canonical Tradition of the Church, The Canonical life of the Orthodox Churches, Canonical Actuality, The Orthodox Church in Dialogue.
Frequency of publication
The JOURNAL OF ORTHODOX CANON LAW is an annual publication (the issue is published in March)
